Is it possible that you or your child have ADHD?

An ADHD assessment is a comprehensive evaluation used to diagnose attention‑deficit/hyperactivity disorder. It’s the first step for anyone experiencing inattention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with daily functioning—many people find relief in understanding why certain challenges occur.

ADHD symptoms typically cluster into three areas: inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Some people mainly struggle with focus, others with high activity or impulsive behaviour, and many have a mix of all three.

  • Inattention may appear as distractibility, careless errors, forgetfulness, trouble listening or sustaining focus, poor organization, or difficulty completing tasks.
  • Hyperactivity may show up as fidgeting, restlessness, excessive talking, trouble sitting still, or feeling unable to slow down.
  • Impulsivity may present as interrupting others, impatience, acting without thinking, or making quick decisions without weighing consequences.

We provide full ADHD assessments for adults, teens, and youth.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long until I get results?

Feedback typically within 1–3 weeks after testing; urgent timelines available in specific cases.

Do you provide school or workplace accommodation letters?

Yes — detailed recommendations and documentation for schools, post‑secondary institutions, and employers.

Are services covered by insurance?

Many extended health plans cover psychological assessment; we provide receipts and insurance codes.

Will my child or I be diagnosed at the end of the assessment?

Not all assessments lead to an ADHD diagnosis—and that’s perfectly fine. You’ll get a detailed written report explaining the findings and their implications, plus clear recommendations whether ADHD is present or not. The aim is always to clarify what’s happening.

How is an ADHD assessment different for children versus adults?

The core assessment remains consistent, but the emphasis shifts with age. For young people we gather school, behavioural, and caregiver/teacher perspectives; for adults we explore work, academic demands, daily responsibilities, and interpersonal functioning. Each evaluation examines how issues present across settings.

What can I do with the Results

Quite a bit. Your assessment report can help secure school accommodations, workplace supports, funding, or guide follow‑up with your family doctor or other providers. It also gives a clear way to describe your experience — which many find deeply relieving.
