Learn how it worksRelationships can reveal patterns—and patterns can change.
This reflection is an invitation to notice, not a label.
Our expectations of closeness, safety and support are shaped by many experiences. Attachment language can help us describe recurring tendencies, but no single result captures the complexity of a person or relationship.
How to take the reflection
Think about one meaningful adult relationship—a partner, family member or close friend. Answer according to how you generally feel or behave in that relationship.

What can an adult attachment style quiz help you explore?
An attachment reflection can help you identify recurring tendencies involving closeness, reassurance, independence, trust and responses to conflict. Results are best treated as a starting point for curiosity—not a fixed identity, clinical diagnosis or judgment about a relationship.
People may show secure, anxious, avoidant or fearful-avoidant tendencies in different combinations. Patterns can also shift across relationships, stress levels and experiences of safety. Individual or couples therapy may help when recurring cycles create distress, disconnection or difficulty communicating needs.

Attachment style quiz questions
Can an attachment quiz diagnose my attachment style?
No. This original quiz is an educational reflection. Attachment tendencies are contextual and cannot be reduced to a single online score.
What do secure, anxious, avoidant and fearful-avoidant mean?
These terms describe broad tendencies in how people approach closeness, reassurance, autonomy and relational threat. A person may recognize elements of more than one pattern.
Can attachment patterns change?
Yes. Patterns are not fixed. Insight, supportive relationships, intentional practice and therapy can contribute to more flexible and secure ways of relating.
Should I choose individual therapy or couples therapy?
Individual therapy may help you explore personal history, emotions and coping patterns. Couples therapy focuses on interaction cycles and shared relationship goals. A consultation can help clarify the best fit.
Is this quiz appropriate when a relationship feels unsafe?
No quiz can assess immediate safety. If a relationship involves coercion, violence or fear, seek specialized support; call 911 in an emergency.
